Dear students,

Welcome to Architectural Engineering Department, M8 Family.

It is with great pleasure I welcome you on behalf of the faculty and staff of the Department of Architectural Engineering at the University of Sharjah. Welcome to one of the most creative, innovative and diverse departments within the University of Sharjah and one of the largest architectural engineering departments in the United Arab Emirates.

For our returning students you did well, personally and academically, and rose with resolute determination to the challenging circumstance due to the global coronavirus pandemic, to thrive in your studies.

To our new students you have made the right decision to join us. Welcome. You learning journey has just started with us, to eternity. Our architectural engineering program will equip you with wide range of skills and abilities with an interdisciplinary attitude and appetite to solve real world problems. You will combine the creativity and flair of architectural, urban and building design with the needed technical knowledge and skills in building technology, energy systems and environmental engineering, for sustainable built environments in the digital age.

Despite the challenging times before us, we can assure you that will work closely together as a family to better equip you with the values, skills and experience for living and working in UAE as well as in a globalised world. While we endeavour to help you develop the needed skills, technical and social, we are, indeed, committed to instilling within our students a global vision coupled with an understanding of a range of different geographical and cultural settings. We strive to work collaboratively with our industrial partners, in Sharjah, UAE and globally, to develop the enquiring, learning, entrepreneurship and creative minds which are necessary for the leadership of tomorrow's built environment, in the UAE and globally.
