The illumination final project of Dr. Emad's course was to redesign the M8 hall with an emphasis on effective lighting distribution. Not only did they meet this challenge, but they also measured and studied their results with dial-up.

What made this project even more exciting was the presence of several seasoned lighting designers who held a workshop with the course students before the exhibition. This allowed the students to gain valuable insights and expert guidance on their designs, ultimately leading to the best possible results.
This exhibition was the first of its kind, as it marked a shift from traditional written reports to a more hands-on design approach. The students were able to unleash their creativity and use their knowledge in practical ways that showcased their skills and imagination. Even the dean of engineering attended this groundbreaking event in person. If anyone would like to learn more about this change and what future plans await M8 you can view the interview we had with Dr. Emad.
When the exhibition ended, the students and respected faculty who participated in the parametric workshop were recognized for their hard work and dedication with certificates of participation. It was a fitting reward for their innovative designs that have the potential to revolutionize lighting in public spaces.
